What’s the role?

• Work as a member of the Sky News Canberra team
• Reporting live from Sky News’ Parliament House Bureau across the day on key political stories and breaking news
• Attending and watching news conferences and interview, as well as turning around content for on air broadcast
• Filing pre-recorded packages, look lives, interviews and feature stories
• Seeking out your own original and breaking news content
• Collaborating with other reporters and producers on stories

Who are you?

• You have demonstrable experience in political journalism as well as a good knowledge and understanding of the Australian and global political landscape
• A commitment to working in a team and a readiness to flex to the demands of a non-stop news organisation
• You have strong editorial judgement to determine key angles and stories
• You have excellent and concise writing skills
• Television reporting experience is desirable, but not required
